About
How a building goes up with us.
Seven phases, one site team and a report every week. Scroll, and the tower builds itself phase by phase.
Phase 01 · Survey
Before anything moves, we measure.
The site is fenced, the grid is set out to the millimetre, and the welfare cabins arrive. Nothing gets built on a guess.
- Plot
- 44 × 32 m
- Set-out
- ±5 mm
- Hoarding
- 152 m
Phase 02 · Excavation
The ground comes out in benches.
5,280 cubic metres of spoil leave the site by truck while the pit is checked, shored and kept dry.
- Pit
- 30 × 22 m
- Depth
- 8 m
- Spoil
- 5,280 m³
Phase 03 · Foundations
20 piles, one raft.
Bored piles go down to rock. On top of them, a concrete raft a metre and a half thick carries the whole building. Then the basement walls close the pit.
- Piles
- 20 × Ø1.0 m
- Raft
- 28 × 20 × 1.5 m
- Mix
- C40
Phase 04 · Structure
Columns, beams, slab. 14 times.
The core goes up first and the floors follow, one every six days. The tower crane climbs with the building.
- Floors
- 14
- Floor to floor
- 3.6 m
- Height
- 50.4 m
Phase 05 · Envelope
Weather-tight, floor by floor.
Unitised glass panels, glazed and sealed in the factory, are craned into place and locked to the slab edges.
- Panels
- 560
- Glazing
- 3,024 m²
- Module
- 2.0 × 3.6 m
Phase 06 · Topping out
The crane comes down.
Parapets, plant and the roof screens go on. The crane that built the tower is dismantled in pieces, the same way it went up.
- Parapet
- 1.2 m
- Roof plant
- 3 units
- Crane out
- 3 days
Phase 07 · Handover
Lights on. Keys over.
Paving laid, trees planted, lights on. 14 floors, 41 weeks, ready for its first tenants.

Why Northstone
Three promises we put in the contract.
Most contractors talk about quality. We write the programme, the price and the safety record into the agreement, and we report against all three every week.
- 01
Fixed price, fixed programme
The number you sign is the number you pay. Changes are priced before they happen, never after.
- 02
One team, start to finish
The site manager who digs the pit hands you the keys. No handoffs between phases, no lost knowledge.
- 03
Safety is the schedule
Every programme is built around safe sequencing. A site that runs safely runs on time.
By the numbers
hours since the last lost-time incident, across every live site.
How we work
The programme is the promise.
- 01
Pre-construction
Design review, costed programme, planning and procurement. You sign a fixed price before a spade goes in.
- 02
Build
One site team from excavation to envelope. Weekly reports with photos, progress against programme and spend to date.
- 03
Handover
Snagging closed before the walk-through, not after. O&M manuals, warranties and training delivered on the day.
- 04
Aftercare
Twelve months of defects cover with a named contact and a 48-hour response.
